Srinagar: A Junior Commissioned officer
(JCO) committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle at Budgam
village in central Kashmir late Friday evening.
Official sources told GNS that JCO, Subidar Surinder
Singh of 2 Rashtriya Rifles posted at Soibugh army camp, shot himself with his
service rifle. "After hearing gunshot his colleague rushed to him where he
was found lying in pool of blood," they said.
The JCO, a resident of Punjab was immediately shifted to
nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, sources added. (GNS)
