Srinagar: The Passport office Srinagar today held a passport mela wherein 300 passports were finalized. According to Firdous Iqbal, Passport Officer Srinagar in order facilitate more applicants to have their Passport applications processed particularly in view of some reports of non-availability of on-line appointment in recent past, the Srinagar passport office held the passport mela at Passport Office Srinagar on Saturday.

Pertinently, Saturday is an official holiday observed for any passport office in the country. During the day around 300 Passport cases were finalized for Passports. “It has been our endeavour to help our people in facilitating issuance of passport without any hassles. And with this commitment in mind, we thought to hold this passport mela so that some people who feel online appointments are not available could avail the benefit,” Iqbal told KNS. (KNS)
