Srinagar: A teenage girl was injured
after a 12-bore rifle went off accidentally in north Kashmir's frontier Kupwara
district on Sunday.
Official sources told GNS that Sajda Bano (19), daughter
of Abdul Rashid Khan of Bungam Haihama sustained serious bullet wound in her
abdomen when the liscensed rifle of her father suddenly went off.
The girl was immediately shifted to district hospital
Kupwara where from she was referred to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment.
Meanwhile, police has registered a case and started
further investigation in this regard. (GNS)
