Velayati calls Ban Ki-moon as US puppet

Tehran: Supreme Leaderˈs senior advisor for
foreign affairs Ali Akbar Velayati criticized UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon
for pursuing the US policies.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the
International Conference on Role of Islamic World in Global Power Geometry on
Wednesday, he referred to the UN chief as a US puppet. Ban Ki-moon is the most
helpless UN secretary-general in the past years since he repeats the US
officialsˈ statements through the UN tribune. Velayati made the remarks in
reaction to the statements made by the UN secretary-general on March 11 when he
claimed that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has failed to fulfill his
promises regarding human rights violation.
