Srinagar: Claiming that the
ruling national conference is the protector of state’s special status, speaker
and NC leader Mubarak Gul Friday stated that no power can scrap
Article 370 from the constitution.
According to the reports received by KNS, Gul while
addressing election rally at Sangam Puru area of Srinagar urged people to vote
for BC patron Dr Farooq Abdullah during the forthcoming parliamentary polls.
He stated further that NC has always strived for the
rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and that history bears witness to the
fact that it was only NC that stood against the tyranny and oppression at all
the times. “NC will continue to struggle so that state’s special status could
be saved and we believe that till NC is here, no power can abrogate Article
370.”
Slamming PDP for bartering the interests of the state at
large, Gul said that it is high time for the people to vote for NC- Congress
alliance so that new era of peace and development could be witnessed.
