PDP on-board with BJP to harm Article 370
Srinagar: Speaking to workers at
Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan in Jammu, National Conference Additional General
Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal has said that PDP was inherently and
ideologically opposed to J&K's Prosperity and Economic Growth. The party
has a permanent agenda to destabilize the State and sabotage elected
governments to create chaos in the State. The party's history - especially its
role in sparking the 2008 land row agitation for political gains, is a tragic
story of mischief-mongering and negative politics.
According to a statement issued to KNS, stating that
PDP's refusal to acknowledge the developmental needs and demands of our State
is primarily because of the party's hunger for power and its destructive motto
to create disturbances and instability unfortunately in a State that has already
witnessed decades of turmoil and violence. While PDP came into existence in
1999, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has been involved in some of the most serious
machinations against the integrity, unity and autonomy of Jammu and Kashmir
since his very inception into politics.
Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal said that PDP's biggest grouse
against the Omar Abdullah led NC-Congress Coalition is that this government did
not fail and did not provided PDP an opportunity to cause disruption in the due
term of a democratically elected government - something Mufti Mohammad Sayeed
has attained a dubious specialization in, and perhaps takes great pride in. By
succeeding to dispense good governance with mutual cooperation, by sustaining
an unprecedented spurt in development and growth and by creating an atmosphere
of accountability, the Omar Abdullah led NC-Congress government has failed
PDP's plans to plunge this State into instability.
Dr. Kamal said that it’s tragic that PDP leaders have the
audacity to praise Narendra Modi so openly despite the fact that Modi's role in
the Gujarat Riots has been ample proof of his vision and ideology. It was
National Conference that chose to opt out of the NDA after reports established
the overt and covert involvement of the Gujarat Government in allowing the riots
to take place. Had PDP been in NC's place, they would have not only supported
Modi but praised him for the carnage in Gujarat - as was done by Mehbooba Mufti
when she said that the nation was "looking forward" to Narendra
Modi's rule. (KNS)
